The stay here wasn't horribly unsanitary, but it was very annoying and inconvenient.
Finally I arrive at what is supposed to be a smoke-free building, but the entire 2nd floor smells like cigarette smoke. I go downstairs to the front desk and ask "Do you have a smoke free floor I can move to?" The man at the front desk seems very annoyed "The ENTIRE BUILDING IS SMOKE FREE THAT'S A NORTH DAKOTA LAW!" I responded that the second floor smells of strong & recent cigarette smoke from the time you step off the elevator until you get in the room, and I can still smell it in my room. He just rights down the time and goes back to whatever he was doing without saying another word to me. I asked "am I able to move to a different room, because I'm developing a migraine." He barley looks up and tells me no.
Excellent pool area with water slides and a hot tub. The staff is courteous and more than willing to help out.
Nice hotel. Quick check-in and checkout. Nice employees. Room was very clean.
My experience starts before I arrived at Mainstay, I called to ask their pet policy. Jesse answered the phone and was very annoying when I asked his name. He didn't say his name when he answered the phone. I said "Hi, my name is De. I missed your name?" He responded "How can I help you." I said again "I'm sorry I missed your name?" To which he responded "That's fine." I said "What's your name please?" To which he huffed puffed and finally told me his name.
I love Mainstay. They have a small kitchen which is a plus. And this one has a water park! Good price.
The next morning before I check out I ask the front desk staff if they have a computer I can print from. They did which she gave me directions to, but I needed a password. I came back to the front desk where she was still playing on her personal cell phone and asked her for the password. She gave a long dramatic sigh and came to unlock the computer for me. When I was checking out, she asked me if I enjoyed my. I told her no and the events of the night before along with the attitude of the man staffing the front desk the night before, and she said "mm", which isn't even a word. There was no apology, not even the slightest detection of caring other than being annoying that I complained.
Fun for the kids. Great pool area for all ages. Good breakfast served in lobby. Very reasonable price.
The furniture in the room is also rather worn and cracked which I forgot to take close up pictures of.
