Called on a Saturday after not getting anywhere trying to fix my sink - asked to speak with a plumber. Got a call back in less than 30 minutes, and rather than requiring me to have him out and charge me to look at my sink, the plumber answered my questions with good instructions so that I was able to fix it myself (which I wanted to do). That's integrity. I'll definitely be calling these guys if I have a problem I can't tackle myself.
Always so pleasant and helpful! Needed to replace furnace and air conditioner. They listened to exactly what we needed and gave us a fair estimate. When the day came, they were so quick and courteous! Everything has worked great since then. Called for a plumbing issue on a separate occasion and the response time was great and fixed everything quickly. Highly recommend this company.
I got a quote from Brian Miller for the installation of a gas line to my garage for a gas heater for around $500.00. I did some prep-work to save some money. The work was "completed" even though there was garbage left everywhere. The hole drilled into the garage wasn't sealed at all, I had to seal it. Machine oil was left to stain the concrete I had just poured. I got the bill finally and it came in at close to $1,100.00. After calling and leaving over 25 voicemails asking Brian to call me back, I finally had to drive to the office and of course Brian wasn't in the office. One of the ladies in the office called him and let me talk to him. After 4 months of trying to pay my bill and all the cleanup I had to do after his employees, I was only given $50 bucks off the bill and he was extremely upset to do that, even though a freshly poured $3,000.00 pad of concrete was stained and I had to do half the work. They never would have fessed up to the lack of quality if I didn't go home early to babysit them. I will never use HA Thompson & Sons for anything ever again! Use at your own risk!
Brian and HA went above and beyond to get us a new AC unit. On a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago I emailed Brian the go ahead to install a new AC unit. He said they could do the work later the following week (which had already been discussed before I gave them the go ahead). Literally a few minutes later my wife, who was 37 weeks pregnant and very uncomfortable at the time, called and said the current AC froze up and we were looking at a high of 97 that day and a hot week ahead. So I called HA's dispatch and requested they come recharge our current AC unit knowing full well we'd have to pay for it and that we couldn't tolerate a week limping along without it being recharged. Brian called to finalize the schedule on the install a few minutes after I got off the phone with dispatch. I mentioned I had actually just gotten off the phone with dispatch and explained what was going on. Brian then quickly asked if he could call me right back. He then apparently called his guys and asked if they'd be willing work late to come do the install that evening. He called back a few minutes later and said they'd do it that night. I even offered to pay extra but Brian refused. I'd like to be clear than I did not ask Brian if there was anything he could do to help us out, or request for him to do the install sooner. He offered with no hesitation. I was blown away at their willingness to help us. About 5 hours later we had a new AC and I had a much happier wife.
I had worked with Brian to install an AC unit at our previous residence about 7 years ago as well. Both experiences were very positive. Brian was always responsive and the install technicians were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Brian and HA for any Furnace or AC unit installations.
I had an issue with my toilet not flushing. Their guy came out and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't flush. He snaked it a dozen times and changed the wax seal but it still wouldn't flush. He ended up figuring it out but before he left he felt the need to fiddle with the bolts connecting the tank to the bowl. He over-tightened them and created an entirely new issue of the tank leaking water. I ended up replacing the entire toilet, myself. I tried getting my bill prorated for the damage done but had no luck. I won't be using them again for any plumbing issues.
