I rented from IRET, specifically this apartment complex and I felt like the rent was a bit expensive for an older apartment. Opon moving out, we were overcharged for fees and got a partial deposit back. Had to call the police on a few tenants a couple times, and nothing was solved right away. I had to take my issues straight to the office staff to get it handled. There were services needed for the apartment that didnt get done for 2 full years. Terrible service. I wouldn't rent from this place again.
Cottonwood Apartments is definitely one of the best apartment complexes in Bismarck. It's not far from downtown and the mall, and the apartment floor plans are really nice. Some of them them have newer oak cabinetry so it doesn't feel like an apartment, really. The IRET Properties staff is usually very nice, too. They have a lot of other apartments in addition to Cottonwood, so they know what they're doing--no 'mom and pop' style landlord issues.
