I went today to exchange a pair of silver jeans for my daughter. I bought them on black friday and misplaced my reciept. So we went to juniors found the right pair and was going to exchange at that checkout however there was a women with a small lap dog. Yes a dog. My husband is allergic so he said lets go to a diffrent counter. We walked around and the only counter without a line of 10 people was home department. I waited got to cashier explained i did not have my reciept but i wanted to do an even exchange. The cashier looked at me and said no reciept no exchange. She looked at me like i had stolen them or something. This is also confused me because i worked at herbergers in the past and im a fairly regular patron considering i have a family of 7. So i say no i just want to exchange them. I know its possible. Then she states if i can prove my purchase with my form of payment. I would be able to exchange. Thankfully i paid with my debt card. She then preceeded to find the purchase after she matched the numbers on the jeans were to big and exchanged for the correct size. In all the years i have shopped in that store i have never felt so uncomfortable. I was embarrassed by the entire incident and do not appreciate the fact that just because im in my grubby cleaning clothes i was treated like a thief. I also looked online before writting this review at the return policy. It does not state reciept must be present for silver jeans. With the exception of to many returns without a reciept. I accept that as reasonable but im almost positive i have no returns let alone ones without a reciept in the past 365 days. The employee would have known this if she would have scanned my drivers license. Lesson learned if i ever become desperate enough to shop there again. I will make sure to wear a full face of lancome make up, calvin klein suit, and my born boots. All of which i bought from this store in past purchases. Today herbergers lost a loyal and very good customer today.
I wish I could rate this store with 0 stars! I hate this store. I went in there to buy a brazier. I asked to be fitted. (A service they offer and since they don't carry Natori, I would have to settle for a lower quality brand. Not all brands fit the same). The lady refused to fit me. I spoke with the store manager and expected an apology,but no. Instead he asked with an attitude...what do you want me to do about that?! I will never go back. On top of that the store is unorganized.(the store needs to be on an episode of hoarders) Everything just thrown wherever. Not a big variety. The Dooney and Bourke bags were from last season and the season before. I will be writing a strongly worded letter to corporate.
