Great theater. Big screens, comfy chairs, but their website leaves a lot to be desired. I have no way of contacting them without calling the business office. No one ever answers.

Bismarck doesn't have many theater choices. Fortunately, Grand does not disappoint. A great daytime date for two, under $30. Well worth it!

We went to see Justice League on Thursday Dec. 21. Thanks to Google Guides, our question about Matinee hours was answered in like, 15 minutes! Once at the theater, we saw a sign below show times that state Matinees are any showtime before 5:15. Good to know! Our show time was the only available during Matinee so we scored! I believe the bargain price was $7. I understand on Tuesdays, it's $5.

Best theatre in town for now, but we will see how AMC changes that. Go here if your looking for a movie. Seating is first come first serve and the concessions are expensive, but it is a nice theatre.

The movie was playing in theater #18. This must be one of the smaller, intimate, theaters that play to a smaller audience. It has maybe 10 rows, the very bottom row has maybe 8 seats and increase as you go up. We sat in the middle, third row up and were quite happy with the viewing angle. I think any lower and we would have been craning our necks.

This theater is clean, well maintained, adequately staffed, and provides an overall joyful experience. We took advantage of the special pricing for snacks on Thursday. $2 small popcorn, pop, and candy.

I am a regular at this place. Usually, I am pretty happy with the experience but occasionally you may come across unclean halls. Like today hall 10 was too dirty when I went for the 10pm show.

I'm biased. I worked for Regal Entertainment Group for 4 years, so I know how a high quality cinema runs. The Grand is not a great cinema, it's just the only one worth going to in the area. I could point out lots of projection problems that drive me nuts (I'm trained to look for these things), but I'll spare you. The average movie goer will like the cinema well enough if they see a movie in the newer theaters. The worst is trying to see a movie in the older theaters. They have small screens, terrible seats that give you a backache, and feel dirty. They charge the same price as seeing a movie in the newer stadium theaters. If I could go to an AMC or Regal I would chose them over this cinema. I normally like to support local businesses, but this one doesn't try hard because there's no competition. The Carmike in the Gateway Mall is way worse.
