Not only is this a lovely park (lilacs all over in the spring too), very clean and has a nice dog run, but when I was there just recently I was having tow vehicle problems, and owner Mark went out of his way to get me help and get me on my way again.
Stayed here in 16 nice and clean. But the best part was they were full, the owner made a space for me THX
Awesome campground, right on the edge of town, so it's an easy commute to town. They have a pool for kids and playgrounds around the campground. The staff are nice and very helpful. Lot of people like to stay there and the traffic all contribute to the noise. It's right on highway 83, that's the traffic noise I'm talking about.
If you like to remain inside your RV/camper in the evening and go to bed before 10pm this is the place for you! The campsite is well kept and there are a ton of friendly people around! Most of the staff is super polite too. That being said, If you want to be yelled at by the owner, Mark, before quiet hours to "shut up", guests told to leave (even though we had none), told "next time, there won't be a next time because the cops will be involved and you will all get arrested," have the owners stare out their window at you for the remainder of the night, and the next morning get yelled at again for no apparent reason, this is also the place for you! (To be clear, we were never politely told to be quiet, no one came and complained to us, in fact someone from that night next to our camper said they didn't even hear us. We are a younger crowd (25-30's) but we are responsible and respectful, however we were NOT treated with respect).
I was concerned I might have to stay longer than my two reserved nights, and though they were busy, Mark was able to find a nice site for me in case I needed it. (It turned out I didn't need it). He also called the Ford dealerships in the area and got me an immediate appointment with one of them. He offered to give me rides to and from as needed but the dealership had a shuttle and I was able to use that. He also offered to make sure my dogs were taken care of if I needed to be away for very long!
All this, with a smile. Thank you Mark. Help like that is just so appreciated when there are emergencies.
Nice KOA as KOAs go. Clean safe and convenient off the interstate. Near the main hwy so a tad noisy if your site is near. All sites and interior roads are gravel. No satellite at our site in the trees but okay in summer; I'll take the cool over TV any day.
