Wow, just got off the phone with State Street Tax, I called to talk to the person who prepared my taxes.
I called to ask for the address to mail my tax return to, the man I spoke with was nice about it but my return wasn't processed for over a month. The IRS was way faster! What the heck?
Not going back ever!
I've gone to State Street Tax for at least 5 years and have never been treated like this.
Not my department. Seems to be the mantra of North Dakota. It seems to me that anyone in public office in North Dakota seems to try and not do a job. Paperwork is requested on the level of a supreme court case. Persons working for the state should be working and not thinking up roadblocks or asking for mountains of paperwork. I believe when a person makes a complaint that that person should be directed to the proper department. I believe that department should at least make a cursory investigation. When a state resident calls, they usually have no other recourse. We rely on the state to protect us from fraudulent businesses. I asked the state to investigate ADESA in West Fargo. I believe they are not charging or paying taxes for repair work they do for out of state businessess.
He said it isn't his falt I can't read my taxes. Really, I paid him to do my taxes, he never even sat down with me to go through them, he was rude and eragent.
Terrible to work with. Have called/emailed numerous times. Every time I do a correction I get an email saying I did it wrong. But no staff is willing to tell me how to do it correctly
Simple enough, helpful. I am able to drop off my taxes easily
